About The Knight Brothers

The Knight Brothers have been entertaining people all over the East Coast with their life inspired songs and passionate vocals for many years. Their country-rock style is illuminated by harmonies that can only come from being brothers. Growing up on their uncle’s farm in Mt. Airy, Maryland, their lives were enriched with the unique qualities born out of hard work, country living, and the emphasis on family and community. The mantel of music was handed down by their father and reinforced by their mother from the time that they could speak. The brothers began singing Gospel music around the early age of five. In 1976, they recorded their first album titled “Victory at Calvary” written by their father, Carriel Knight, Sr. They traveled all over the east coast selling thousands of copies at churches and festivals. David, Danny, Dean and Curtis are the four remaining brothers of five born in their family. The oldest and extremely gifted brother Chuck, was taken at the young age of 17, but not before his voice captured the hearts of thousands in the region. His talents and instruction on performance can be felt in the coming together of the brothers on special occasions when they harmonize to the country gospel song “Help Me”, which he was featured on during the recording and made so popular. Through the years the brothers have opened for several artists including Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, Martina McBride, Phil Vassar, Jo Dee Messina and Kevin Sharp. They have won some of Nashville’s most prestigious contests, including The Wrangler Country Star Search in 1981 held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and were crowned first runners up. They have performed for some of Nashville’s top producers and executives, including Tim Dubois and Tony Brown and a unique private session with Pam Tillis. They have enjoyed the company of musicians on their CDs “Blue Roses” and “Mile Markers” that were players for some of Nashville’s greats including, Diamond Rio, Hank Williams Jr. and Pam Tillis. Curtis shares one of his fondest moments while recording their CD “Blue Roses” at the Sound Stage in Nashville, sharing the studio with Tim McGraw who embraced Curtis and suggested that he be made an honorary brother. Their last CD titled “Mile Markers” was written, arranged & produced by the four brothers in Nashville. The Knight Brothers continue to carry their passion for music playing at venues, such as churches, festivals, carnivals, parties and dances. They offer a full band sound or a more intimate acoustic setting. No place is too large or too small for the brothers to share their arrangements from original music to cover music which includes Country, Classic Rock, Gospel and Pop. The brothers are accompanied by their family who supports them wherever they go with ties that are stronger than any force on earth and undergirded by faith in God. The memories and friendships forged over the years are too numerous to mention and they continue to grow at every festival and every venue. The Knight Brothers are proud to build this family of friends and celebrate in the fact that they have some of the most loyal and steadfast fans any entertainer could ask for. They are always writing new original music in preparation for new CD projects and perform regularly for their fans, giving them a glimpse into the lives of these four close brothers. Mt Airy Natives, Curtis, David, Danny and Dean are the Knight Brothers! Country, crossover rock with a Gospel undertone. Click "About" for booking info.
