The Islas

The Islas are a New Pop/Indie Rock band from Norwich, UK. Consisting of four members between the ages of 20 and 23. Chord structures inspired from Soul and Motown artists with powerful, punchy lyrics. Words written with opinions and experiences harvested from youth, The Islas refuse to write songs which have no meaning. Growing up with influences from Paul Weller, The Beautiful South, The Smiths and The Clash - The Islas are looking to add something different to the industry, developing their own sound and engaging audiences with high energetic shows and a range of songs in their setlist. The Islas released their debut single ‘A Generation To Forget’ late 2017 receiving high praise from bloggers and magazines. The band's social media grew massively in the space of just a few days after shares on Soundcloud and Spotify playlists. Having caught the eye of national radios such as BBC Radio 1 and Absolute Radio already, and securing themselves on the mainstage of one of the UK’s favourite festivals - it’s going to be a good 2018 for The Islas.
