About The Heyday

“Here we are now once again / half a tank and a few good friends / we’re staying out till we see the sun…” The Heyday has been preaching the gospel of the “good old days” for over five years. Forming in Littleton, Colorado in the spring of 2006 as the sun set on their high school careers, what started as a few friends in a basement rocking out with their dog has turned into an act committed to traveling the country, making fans and friends alike, and writing feel good music that is fit for any radio station, living room get together, small club, or huge festival. With two releases under their belt, 2007’s full length album “The Heyday” and 2010’s EP “Till We See The Sun,” The Heyday has a polished sound that loudly sings of love, friendship, and the joyousness of youth. Solid rhythms, lofty harmonies, and the occasional hot guitar lick trademark the group’s fun sound and exemplify why it’s been so easy for fans around the country to fall in love. With newest member and veteran of the Colorado music scene Ryan Buller taking the helm at lead guitar, 2011 has already seen the band return to their roots at nationally renowned Blasting Room Studios in Fort Collins, Colorado to continue to writing and recording process, and the band’s newest single “Somebody To Someone” is already taking Colorado radio by storm. Looking into 2012, The Heyday will continue to record as well as expand upon their quest to conquer every state in the U.S. with their live show. As veterans of the college circuit, the band is excited to meet more students around the country and win them over with the grass-roots connections that have made The Heyday what they are today. “These are the good old days,” and The Heyday continues to make the most of them.
