BIO The French Touch - Nz! Un univers acoustique « Pop-Enjoy » violon-guitare-chant & contrebasse? Vous dansez, sautez, criez et chantez à l'unisson. Vous en oubliez votre verre et vous embrassez la terre entière? Non, vous ne rêvez pas, la French-touch NZ est là ! Ne quittez pas des yeux ces lascars ! Vous les croyez sur scène, les voilà debout sur le bar, puis derrière vous, enfin devant, allongés sur vos genoux, non, collés au plafond! Ajustez votre vision nocturne, y'a pas d'appli pour les suivre ! C'est une lumière qui a guidé deux jeunes étoiles vers le "French Corner" d'Auckland un soir de septembre 2013. De cette explosion de vie est née la supernova French-touch NZ : Victor, le chanteur poète de Perpignan, et Etienne, le violoniste enchanteur de Charleroi, avaient fusionné sur la terre des kiwis! Leurs énergies étaient rentrées en collision pour répandre de la joie partout sur la planète, dans toutes les langues et dans tous les styles. De retour en France quelques années plus tard la comète "FTNZ" avalait Titi et Sam sur son passage, le contrebassiste contorsionniste et le percussionniste de la nuit. De la poussière de gypsy par ici, du cajun par là, cette constellation jazzy éblouie! De reprises en chansons originales, la FTNZ écume les bars, les rues, les places, les festivals ("Le Waiheke Jazz Festival" d'Auckland, Interceltique de Lorient, Avignon, Fringe Festival d'Edimbourg) et les salles (Le Pasino de la Grande Motte, le Cabaret Sauvage de Paris). C’est en orbite que le groupe compose son premier album studio ("Paris-Auckland"). De cet Album pop-rock autoproduit naitront leurs titres à succès «Nathalie», «J’en ai marre» et «Réussite Sociale» dont l’univers s’apparente à «La rue ketanou», «Tryo» et effleure les mélodies manouches. Jeunes, vieux, kids, équilibristes, funambules, bancals! Non, vous ne rêvez pas! Ce n’est pas une éclipse que vous voyez mais la météorite FTNZ! Ils sont bien de chair et d'os ces drôles de zouaves et si vous vous retrouvez la tête dans les étoiles ou les voyez en plein midi, c'est que l'impro d'Etienne vous a ouvert la voie ! Il faut être là, à ce moment, en live avec eux. Alors, accrochez-vous aux branches de la comète Pop-Enjoy de FTNZ et bon voyage! Hearing a « feel good» acoustic pop music with violin, guitar, voice and double bass? Here you are dancing, jumping, screaming and singing in unison! You can’t remember where your glass is and you are embracing the entire world. Take a moment and pinch yourself - this is not a dream - the French Touch NZ is here! Keep an eye on these four folks. You might think there are playing on stage but here they are standing on the bar, no, just behind you, lying on your lap, no, glued to the ceiling! Adjust your night vision goggles; there are no apps to follow them! This is a bright light that led two rising stars to the Auckland “French Corner” pub on September 2013. On that night, Victor and Etienne’s energies collided to create the French-touch NZ Supernova. The creativities of a French singer and Belgium violinist had merged to spread happiness on the planet, mixing languages and music styles. A few years later, “FTNZ” comet would pick up Titi and Sam in its path, the double bass contortionist and the percussionist of the night. While on orbit the band put together its debut album “Paris-Auckland” and wrote its first hits “Nathalie”, « I have had enough» and «Social Success», with a music style close to French bands «La rue ketanou» and «Tryo», adding a bit of a gypsy jazz feel to it. A bit of gypsy dust here, some Cajun sparkles other there, the FTNZ constellation dazzles! From originals to cover songs, FTNZ goes from bars streets, squares, music festivals (Auckland’s "The Waiheke Jazz Festival", Interceltique of Lorient, Avignon, Edinburg Fringe Festival) and venues (Grande Motte’s Pasino, Cabaret Sauvage in Paris). Young, old, kids, acrobats, funambulists, keep your eyes open! Because you are not dreaming! This is not a mirage butthe FTNZ comet taking the stage! There are flesh and bones these funny clowns. BIO – A PROPOS Victor Billon. Né à Paris en 1988, Victor sait déjà ce qu’il fera de sa vie. A 4 ans, il chante les chansons de Marie-Line avec un micro en plastique. Dès qu'il sait tenir un stylo, il écrit des poésies et compose des chansons en s'accompagnant au synthé. A 14 ans, il se met à la guitare funk et rejoint le groupe montpelliérain en 2012, les Biz Biz. Epris de voyages et de musiques du monde, il atterrit en Nouvelle Zélande où il fonde le groupe French- touch NZ avec le violoniste Etienne Bizjak. Victor Billon. Born in Paris in 1998, Victor always knew he would be a musician. At the age of 4, he sings with a plastic pen and soon after writes his first poems and songs, while accompanying himself on synthesiser. At age 14 he starts the guitar and joins his first music band Biz Biz. Enthusiastic traveller and world music lover, Victor left France to go to New Zealand where he meets violinist Etienne Bizjak and creates FTNZ. Etienne Bizjak. Né à Charleroi en 1987 d’un père altiste et d’une mère, violoniste, Etienne reçoit son premier violon à l’âge de 6 ans. Il ne le lâche plus mais veut le faire voyager loin de l’univers classique. En Nouvelle Zélande, il travaille le jazz manouche avec le guitariste letton Misha Kovalov avec lequel il crée le groupe "Twistin' The swing". En 2013 c'est le début de l'aventure FTNZ au travers de laquelle il fusionne tous ses styles. Etienne Bizjak. Born in Charleroi in 1987, Etienne’s parents – both classical viola and violin players - started him on the violin when he was six. He never let it go since but decided it should travel overseas. In New Zealand, Etienne works with gypsy jazz Latvian guitar player Misha Kovalov with whom he creates the band Twistin’ The Swing. The FTNZ adventure starts soon after, in 2013, which will allow him to merge all his music styles into an energetic and big project. Thierry Seignourel. Né à Béziers à la fin du XX siècle, Titi est l'homme-orchestre du groupe. Bassiste, contrebassiste, éclairagiste, ingénieur du son, réparateur en tout genre, il se perfectionne dans la célèbre école de Montpellier Le JAM. Après de nombreux passages dans des groupes régionaux, il rejoint la FTNZ en 2016. Thierry Seignourel. Born at the end of the 19th century, Titi is a one-man band. Double bass player, bassist, lighting designer, sound engineer, and repairer, Titi is also improving his music skills at the famous music school of Montpellier, The Jam. After numerous experiences with local bands, he joins FTNZ in 2016. Samuel Deaux. Né à Aix en Provence un 4 juillet, Sam fait déjà craquer ses parents avec son sourire charmeur et ses talents de comédien. C’est à 15 ans qu’il débute la batterie, et rejoint Victor dans le groupe Biz Biz. Fan de pop rock et de batucada, il délaisse la batterie pour la percussion et rejoint la FTNZ en 2016. Samuel Deaux. Born in Aix en Provence on a 4th of July, Sam catches the eyes of his parents with his charming smile and his acting talent. He starts drum at age 15 and joins Victor in the Biz Biz music band later on. Crazy about pop music and batucada, he abandons drum for percussions and joins the FTNZ in 2016.
