About The Fractals

Former founding members of Huffamoose, a nationally touring act on Interscope, are now The Fractals! Kevin Hanson, Jim Stager and Erik Johnson – 3/4ths of the founding members of Philly’s Huffamoose team up with Mike Frank. The¬y are fresh out of the studio with new music and already received their first add on WXPN with “Christopher Walken” and it’s getting daily airplay. These philly-legacy musicians are back on the circuit, have shows at Ardmore Music Hall (Ardmore, PA) and other events in the region this fall.
Kevin Hanson, lead singer and songwriter, has performed and recorded with the likes of Usher, Jay-Z, The Roots, Musiq Soulchild, and countless others. His distinctive songwriting is what has drawn so many to both Huffamoose and his current band. His compositions and masterful guitar playing are the spinal cord of The Fractals.
Jim Stager, bassist, has performed and recorded with hundreds of artists, ranging from Rosemary Clooney to the legendary punk band X. His mastery of rock and jazz merge in a style that has earned him a place in the pantheon of Philadelphia's notable session greats.
Drummer Erik Johnson has performed or recorded with countless artists in a myriad of styles. His credits include George Garzone, Tim Hagans, Jack Walrath, Gary Bartz, Larry McKenna, and more. His fiercely original expressiveness on drums and soaring background vocals have become vital to The Fractals' sound.
Mike Frank, keyboardist, has performed with many musicians in the Philly Jazz community as well as Pop/Rock artists such as The Electric Farm, Mike Viola, Ben Arnold, Disco Biscuits and more.
