About The Dogs Divine

"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." That phrase seemed so appropriate that The Dogs Divine titled their second album Size of The Fight. Founded in 2007, the band quickly went to work creating music. After playing only one show the band was signed to Chavis Records and released their debut album in the summer of 2008. Fast forward to 2011 and you will find a much more impressive effort in Size of The Fight. The new album shows a heavier and more diverse side of the band than their previous endeavor. Songs such as "Dogs" and "Overnight Sensation" have a more metal feel to them, while "Gypsy King" showcases the band's ability to switch it up with acoustic slide guitar and upright bass. "We didn't worry about genres or trends; we just wanted to write something that had all the elements of a great Rock album" says vocalist Tom Hart. "We wanted to have an instrumental and we wanted to remake a classic song like we did with Queen's "I'm in Love with My Car." We didn't want just collection of songs that all sounded the same." THE DOGS DIVINE members Tom Hart, bassist Jim Hart, guitarist Karl Von Heilman and drummer Jeremiah Ross are anxious to get on the road and bring their style of Rock to the masses. "It's been a rough road," says Jim Hart. "We have been through member changes, managers, booking agents, and everything else you can think of, but at the end of the day we just wanted to keep goingand write new music." The band found a home for that music when Tim King (Soil) heard a demo of "Hell Wouldn't Have Me" and signed them to Mortal Music Inc. The future looks bright. America rock fans need more bands like THE DOGS DIVINE. The Dogs Divine have toured or shared the stage with.. Reviews.... "Oh hell yes! Rock is finally back with big balls and valor and The Dogs Divine bring it all to the stage!
