About The Dirty South Revolutionaries

Dirty South Revolutionaries came together in the Queen City of Charlotte, NC after all members having been apart of other high-profile acts. The band formed in late 2004, bringing together a collection of talent that hadn’t found their niche in the music scene- that is until DSR defied all niches. A five-piece fusion of rock ‘n roll, drawing inspiration from hardcore punk, death and thrash metal, and an outlaw spirit derived from their southern roots, DSR’s combined efforts have granted them a tenure unparalleled to others in their locale- bringing them a tenacious longevity and following that can’t be pinned down. Dirty South Revolutionaries are lead by the vocals of Johnny Moss and current drummer Adam Lane, the double guitars of Sam Fleming and Tyler Bryant, and the low end bass of Jesse Glanz. Together they’ve released three full albums, sticking true to the DIY ethos of punk history, and are currently in preproduction of a fourth release, to be expected by mid 2018. Their first album, “Queen City Underground" was produced by Skwert of Choking Victim, and recorded by Jesse Cannon (the Cure, Animal Collective, Menzingers, The Misfits, Basement, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Man Overboard, Leftover Crack, Transit, Morning Glory). The second record "Poor and Dangerous" was recorded by Jamie King at the Basement in North Carolina (Between the Buried and Me, Glass Casket, Wretched, Prayer For Cleansing, Through the Eyes of the Dead). And the third, “Dead Astronauts” was produced by Brandon Hamby of Seduction and Dead Peasant Studio (Nemesis, Seduction, 21st Century Goliath, Enter the Void, Seven Year Sorrow). With a heavy tour schedule, these musicians have shared the stage with a tremendous amount of high profile bands, including names such as the Exploited, a tour run with Sham 69, Black Dahlia Murder, GWAR, Kings X, the Virus, Against All Authority, Nekromantix, Goatwhore, Agent Orange, Exhumed, the Briggs, One Way System, Total Chaos, Wretched, Through the Eyes of the Dead, and more over their extensive tour tenure. This group has earned their stripes and their wings, but never lost touch with their homeland roots. Dirty South Revolutionaries are currently focusing on their fourth production and widespread tours for 2018, bridging gaps and conquering new markets across the country, and beyond.
