About The Bacillus
The Bacillus is an Alternative Rock band built around the work of Manchester-based singer-songwriter/guitarist Aidan Cross. Together with Stephen Sarsen (bass), Tim Lee (guitar) and Stuart Quinn-Harvie (drums), Aidan debuted The Bacillus on the live circuit in 2009 and they quickly gained a reputation as a powerful and engaging live act. This line-up recorded and released the album, “I Can’t Adapt To This Prison You Call Society” in 2011, a collection of raw, quirky post-punk anthems with touches of Folk and Classic Rock and ascerbic, anti-establishment lyrics interspersed with a dark humour. The album gained The Bacillus recognition for the firm stance of Aidan Cross’s lyrics against right-wing politics and corruption in the mass media, and they have since appeared on numerous anti-fascist compilation albums. Following the amicable split of the original line-up as its members separated to pursue different projects, Aidan continued The Bacillus with a range of other musicians before dissolving the band in March 2013 after a triumphant charity gig at Gullivers Manchester. He has since moved on to other music projects. http://youtube.com/thebacillusband- The Bacillus YouTube channel http://www.soundcloud.com/thebacillus- The Bacillus Soundcloud profile
