About The Afraid

"The Afraid" is a Punk Band started amidst the fear of the 2016 Presidential Election.

Dakota, bass player and lead singer, has played in several bands prior to The AFRAID (F.B.S, Dead 77, Proton Canon, The Black Mambas etc), but was excited to begin a new project for the current state of the world. After trying out several members he found Zhenya, who moved out to California from Russia. Nick is on Lead guitar, and has worked hard to pursue music. His guitar leads are creative, and help give to The AFRAID a great sound. Tolik, also from Russia, plays drums. He has played in some well known Russian punk bands like Purgen and Private Radio, but now living in America is holding it down for The AFRAID. He brings powerful support to The AFRAID, and is guaranteed to get your body moving. Lastly, Chris joined The AFRAID on Rhythm Guitar. He has played in bands like No Future, The Divided Lines, and The Convicts. Chris now completes the The AFRAID, to give them a full and fresh sound in the punk scene.

The AFRAID has already shared the stage with other great punk bands such as Reagan Youth, Total Chaos, Informal Society, Bad Samaritans, Urban Waste, FOL, Headnoise, Broken Cuffs, Infirmities etc. and looks forward to playing with many other great bands, and performing shows for new fans.
