"Originally formed in 1994 whilst bunking off Maths lessons at school The Unstoppables did not let small things like lack of ability, absence of discernible talent, or not owning any musical instruments put them off their quest to follow in the footstep of the great Bromley musicians who'd gone before them. Echoes of David Bowie, Billy Idol, Peter Frampton, Siouxsie Sioux, Poly Styrene, Fatboy Slim still hang in the air around Bromley Town. The pull was irresistible. Working dead end jobs on minimum wage it was 2004 before the first guitar could be purchased. A drum kit was borrowed off a wealthy, but stupid, uncle and a piano was stolen off a lovely, but deaf, Grandma. The band set to work. 10 years on and, although technical musical ability may still allude them, the driving beat of the streets borne from striking out against hum-drum commuter-ville, combined with a swagger from years of toil and graft, will have you getting up, getting down and getting raucous.
