TSUBO

Just about the end of 2003, between Agropontino and the province of Rome, three lads start playing together. Their names are Fasano (guitar), Giorgioni (vocals) and Erkz (drums). Their first songs take shape (one only still appears, at least for the moment, on today’s tracklist: Silhouette) and the pursuit for a bass player begins, quickly to be achieved after the arrival of Gux in the first months of 2004. At the same time Giorgioni, who finds an excellent vocal support in Gux, also takes up guitar duties to thicken the wall of sound of what will soon be known as TSUBO. At the beginning of 2005 the drummer Erkz is replaced by ThrasherDemo... the band leaves their old songs behind and starts composing brand new ones. After few months the four take up the name TSUBO and, despite the short repertoire, they make their first live appearances without neglecting the rehearsal room in anticipation of the band’s debut recording that’ll eventually happen in November: “Promo 2005”. The band still keeps on playing throughout Italy as well as composing and taking part in various compilations. After several delays due to force majeure, TSUBO manage to re-enter the studio in the summer of 2007 (this was meant to be in late 2006) and give birth to the first album “ANUS MUNDI”, eventually released in early 2008 on the historical SOA RECORDS. At the beginning of 2009 is released the 4 way split "GRINDCORE BULLSHIT" with ROTTEN VAGINA 69, THE ANAL TREATMENT XXXPERIENCE and DISCOLONY on the Malaysian DEATH MUTT RECORDS and an e-mail says the band will play on the stage of the OBSCENE EXTREME FEST in july. In the same time TSUBO recorded (D.I.Y.) some new stuff. In December is out the split with grindcore masters AGATHOCLES titled "PROGRESS OF CIVIL ANNIHILATION". At the beginning of 2011, the bass player Gux leaves the band and Manuel joins it in October as the new bassist in its full capacity. In March 2012 TSUBO enter at “THE OUTER SOUND STUDIOS” of Rome (Necrodeath, Ephel Duat, Hour of Penance …) to record the new album titled “…CON COGNIZIONE DI CAUSA”, featured 20 tracks and many guests (one of them is Jason Netherton from Misery Index). The album was mastered in USA at the “VISCERAL STUDIO” by Scott Hull (Brutal Truth, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer…) and released at the end of October 2012 on the ukrainian Eclectic Productions. In 2015, after the departure of Giorgio, Valentino joins the band as a new singer. With new songs ready TSUBO decided to enter the studio to record a 7" DISDEGNO that will be released as co-productions in May 2017. During these years, TSUBO shared the stage with bands like: 16, AGATHOCLES, BRUTAL TRUTH, BULLDOZER, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, DEAD, DEAD INFECTION, FUCK THE FACTS, GENERAL SURGERY, JUCIFER, LOCK UP, MAGRUDERGRIND, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MISERY INDEX, NASUM, NATRON, RAW POWER, ROTTEN SOUND, SQUASH BOWELS, TODAY IS THE DAY, TORTURE SQUAD, VOMITORY, YACOPSAE... _________________________________________________________________ Verso la fine del 2003, tra l’Agropontino e la provincia di Roma, tre ragazzi cominciano a suonare insieme: Fasano (chitarra) , Giorgioni (voce) ed Erkz (batteria). Prendono forma i primi brani (di cui uno solo, almeno per il momento, continua a suonare nelle scalette della band: Silhouette) ed inizia la caccia al bassista, che finirà brevemente con l’arrivo di Gux nei primi mesi del 2004. Nel frattempo Giorgioni, avendo trovato in Gux un ottimo supporto per quanto riguarda le parti vocali, imbraccia la chitarra riuscendo così a dare più “muro” sonoro a ciò che presto si chiamerà TSUBO. Agli inizi del 2005 il batterista Erkz viene sostituito da ThrasherDemo… la band accantona i vecchi lavori ed inizia la stesura di materiale completamente nuovo. Dopo pochi mesi i quattro adottano l’attuale nome di TSUBO e, nonostante il breve repertorio, cominciano ad esibirsi dal vivo, senza comunque trascurare il lavoro in sala prove, in previsione della prima registrazione del gruppo, che avverrà poi a novembre: “Promo 2005”. La band prosegue (tutt’ora!) nella sua gavetta live in giro per l’Italia, continuando a comporre nuovi brani e prendendo parte a varie compilation cd. Dopo vari rinvii, per cause di forza maggiore, gli TSUBO riescono a tornare nuovamente in studio nell’estate 2007 (registrazione invece prevista per la fine del 2006), dando vita al primo album “ANUS MUNDI”, uscito ad inizio 2008 per la storica SOA RECORDS. Agli inizi del 2009 esce il 4 way split "GRINDCORE BULLSHIT" con ROTTEN VAGINA 69, THE ANAL TREATMENT XXXPERIENCE and DISCOLONY per la malesiana DEATH MUTT RECORDS e una mail avvisa la band che a luglio calcheranno il palco dell'OBSCENE EXTREME FEST. Nel frattempo la band registra (D.I.Y.) del nuovo materiale. A dicembre esce lo split con i maestri indiscussi del mincecore AGATHOCLES intitolato "PROGRESS OF CIVIL ANNIHILATION". Agli inizi del 2011, Gux esce del gruppo e ad ottobre Manuel entra a far parte della band a band a tutti gli effetti come nuovo bassista. A Marzo 2012 gli TSUBO entrano al “THE OUTER SOUND STUDIOS” di Roma (Necrodeath, Ephel Duat, Hour of Penance…) per registrare il nuovo album “…CON COGNIZIONE DI CAUSA” contenente 20 tracce e molti ospiti (tra cui Jason Netherton dei Misery Index). L'album viene masterizzato negli USA al “VISCERAL STUDIO” da Scott Hull (Brutal Truth, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer…) e rilasciato alla fine di ottobre 2012 dall'ucraina Eclectic Productions. Nel 2015, dopo la dipartita di Giorgio, Valentino entra a far parte della band come nuovo cantante. Con nuovi pezzi già pronti gli TSUBO decidedono di entrare in studio per registrare un 45Giri DISDEGNO che uscirà come cooproduzuine a Maggio nel 2017. Durante questi anni, gli TSUBO hanno condiviso il palco con bands come: 16, AGATHOCLES, BRUTAL TRUTH, BULLDOZER, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, DEAD, DEAD INFECTION, FUCK THE FACTS, GENERAL SURGERY, JUCIFER, LOCK UP, MAGRUDERGRIND, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MISERY INDEX, NASUM, NATRON, RAW POWER, ROTTEN SOUND, SQUASH BOWELS, TODAY IS THE DAY, TORTURE SQUAD, VOMITORY, YACOPSAE...
