English: Mario Contarino was born in Rome on October 26th, 1984, and he was diagnosed the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at 5 years old. Since young age he had a strong passion for music, drums in particular, for this reason he decided to leave high school. At the age of 16 he started to play drums in a band called "Ladri Di Carrozzelle", formed by other guys affected by his own pathology. The drummer role was divided among four guys using different electronic pads to play all the drum parts; At that time Mario could also learn to read and write the drums on the score. He played approximately in 600 shows all over Italy (one of the most important has been the May 1st Concert that takes place every year in Rome in front of 1.000.000 of people and it was broadcast live on national television) and in many TV shows. He left the band on summer of 2006. Meanwhile, in 2007, the effects of the disease didn’t allow him to play physically but with the help of technology and computer he started to compose music thanks especially to the software Steinberg's Cubase, and various plug-in. In that time he founded a personal musical project named TBP, on summer of 2011 he composed 30 cover songs of famous hits of the past revisited in hard rock version. Mainly he wants that the TBP project conveys emotions and feelings through original music, instrumental or not, he mixes many styles of rock: hard rock, classic rock, metal, blues, funky, progressive, fusion, and others. On November 13th, 2012 came out “Universe Of Emotions” published by the label Zeta Factory, TBP’s first album, produced by renowned guitar player Giacomo Castellano. In the meantime Mario was acclaimed by famous musicians like Steve Vai, Jason Becker, Mike Terrana, John Macaluso, Mattias Eklundh, Marty Friedmam and many others. On November 3th, 2014 came out “Musical Colors”, the second album of the project, produced by Giacomo Castellano and published by the Tuscan label Red Cat, in this album played a lot of Italian and international musicians. These two albums received many positive reviews. Italiano: Mario Contarino, è nato a Roma il 26 Ottobre 1984, ed all'età di 5 anni gli è stata diagnosticata la Distrofia Muscolare di Duchenne. Fin da piccolo ha sempre avuto la passione per la musica, in particolare per la batteria, infatti; vista la passione, abbandona la scuola al 2° anno di Liceo Scientifico. L'anno successivo, all'età di 16 anni, entra a far parte come batterista nella band pop rock "Ladri di Carrozzelle", gruppo composto maggiormente da ragazzi con la sua stessa patologia. La batteria era suonata e suddivisa per 4 persone, con l'uso di pad elettronici; con questa esperienza ha anche l'occasione di imparare la lettura ritmica e la scrittura dello strumento. Con la band prende parte a circa 600 concerti in tutta Italia, partecipando a molte manifestazioni e trasmissioni televisive importanti. Una di queste è stata la partecipazione al Concerto del 1° Maggio 2006 in piazza S. Giovanni a Roma, di fronte ad 1.000.000 di persone, ed in diretta televisiva. Lascia la band nell’estate del 2006. Visto l’avanzare della Distrofia. non ha più la forza per suonare ma, grazie al computer, ed alla tecnologia, a fine 2007 inizia a comporre musica, utilizzando il software della Steinberg, Cubase, insieme a vari plug-in. A seguito di questo, fonda un progetto personale dal nome TBP, con il quale, per gioco, dall’ estate 2011 realizza una trentina di cover di brani famosi, “stravolti” in versione strumentale hard rock. Principalmente, però, il progetto TBP consiste nel trasmettere emozioni e stati d’animo attraverso la musica, con brani originali, strumentali e non, che raggruppano molte influenze e varietà di generi rock: hard rock, classic rock, metal, blues, funky, progressive, fusion, e altri. Il 13 Novembre 2012 esce, con l’etichetta Zeta Factory, “Universe Of Emotions”, album di esordio del progetto TBP, prodotto dal noto chitarrista Giacomo Castellano (Raf, Nannini, Noemi, Pelù ecc.). Nel frattempo Mario riceve i complimenti da molti musicisti fra i quali: Steve Vai, Jason Becker, Mike Terrana, John Macaluso, Mattias Eklundh, Marty Friedmam e molti altri. Il 3 Novembre 2014 esce “Musical Colors”, secondo album del progetto, prodotto da Giacomo Castellano e pubblicato dall’etichetta toscana Red Cat, quest’album vede la partecipazione di molti musicisti italiani e non.
