Sweet Release

Sweet Release is a band inspired by many different styles of music within the rock genre. While they enjoy covering old favorites, their real passion is creating high energy and refreshing new songs. The band has written and recorded original songs, inspired by well known groups such as Sublime, Dave Mathews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jack Johnson. They released their first all original album in 2010 which was met with positive reaction from fans around the Houston area. ​ What started as an acoustic duo grew to become a four piece band when they realized that the songs they were writing would reach a whole new dimension by adding a bass and drums. With these new elements added to the band, along with occasionally adding auxiliary members on the keyboard and sax, Sweet Release became a more desirable act for music events in the city.
