About Sweaters
Not to be confused with the inactive D.C. and L.A. bands of the same name, Sweaters began in early 2012 as the solo project of Nashville transplant Adam Sweaters. That year saw a few quietly released home demos. By the arrival of 2013's self-released "Unrest" EP, Adam had pieced together a full band, including siblings Amber Mays and Jason Lankford, with Ryan Andrews and Alyssa Curran rounding out the lineup. In 2014 Sweaters embarked on midwest and east coast tours. Moving away from the surf/folk stylings of "Unrest", but maintaining the 60's meets 90's influence, the late 2014 release of the "Glasgow Smile" single showcased a fresh dream pop sound. In early 2015, Sweaters released the "Dolls" EP - donating all funds to charity. The EP signaled a further shift in sound towards dream pop and shoegaze. Instagram: @sweaterstheband
