About Sunjammer
Sunjammer (real name Andreas Ronning, 1982 in Trondheim) is a Norwegian musician. Although generally an underground artist, he has been aired on national radio in Norway.
Sunjammer evolved from straight rave through hardcore gabber through dark jungle in the 90s. He has enjoyed a moderate following in the hardcore gabber scene worldwide, known for his penchant for wilfully mismatched emotions and offbeat use of sampling, at one time leading to the coining of the phrase "Emotional hardcore".
Sunjammer's influence can be traced in the works of artists like The Enticer, Knifehandchop (whose friendship with Andreas can be seen in tracks such as "Sunjammer is my favorite pokémon trainer"), Psychofreud (who is a long-term collaborator in the Oslo scene) and Element Abuse.
