Sue Bloom BAND

Sue Bloom has been known as the "Susquehanna Valley's First Lady of Rock-N-Roll" by radio stations and the general public alike. Her years of performing experience and her uninhibited style give Sue the ability to mesmerize her audiences. Sue has toured both the east and west coast and her music has been heard nationally and internationally. Sue brings a unique style to her singing and songwriting. She has her own sound inspired by her life experiences. Sue takes music to the next level with the combination of her gutsy soul-like vocals and a sound that combines rock, acoustic folk and progressive rhythms. Sue began playing the guitar at the age of 10. Self-taught, she was inspired by the music of Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, and Jimi Hendrix. She played guitar in a variety of church folk groups and weddings and knew by the age of 12 that music was her life's passion. She taught herself how to play the piano and keyboards at the age of 15. Billy Joel's music was a big inspiration to her piano playing. In 1980, she began touring with a Rock/Metal band, BORDERLINE, as the lead vocalist, keyboard player and guitar player. In 1983, she played in Las Vegas at some of the most prestigious Casinos/Hotels. Sue was offered a career opportunity in Las Vegas singing the lesser rock music, but she decided that her heart and soul was into the rock based music and turned down the opportunity of the bright lights of Las Vegas.
