StrawDaze

Folk Punk immediato e d’impatto. E’ la formula degli StrawDaze, sestetto della provincia di Mantova che nel 2011, dopo due anni di attività come cover band, inizia a proporre musica inedita cantata in italiano. Banjo e flauto insieme a chitarre elettriche, basso e batteria danno vita ad un sound originale e coinvolgente, che schiva diversi cliché del genere. La band si fa strada suonando in vari contesti, facendo ballare e saltare la ciurma di ascoltatori, e il 31 Marzo 2012 pubblica “Senza Rotta”, primo EP autoprodotto, successivamente eletto tramite un sondaggio online come disco mantovano dell'anno. Nel Dicembre 2013 inizia la collaborazione con l'etichetta indipendente italo-irlandese Nemeton Records e il 2014 si apre con la pubblicazione di "Senza Rotta" sulle piattaforme digitali. Il 20 Luglio 2015 esce il nuovo album intitolato "Sei" registrato al Big Pine Creek studio di Parma da Carlo Izzo e pubblicato dalla Nemeton Records. Un nuovo punto di partenza per un gruppo che ha già avuto l’occasione di partecipare a grandi festival (Gods Of Folk, Irlanda In Festa, Brintaal Celtic Folk, Festa di Radio Onda d'Urto) e suonare a fianco di importanti band del panorama punk (Punkreas) e folk (The Rumjacks, Flatfoot 56, Folkstone). Playing Folk Punk with immediate impact, StrawDaze is a six-member band from Mantua (Italy). Two years after the activity as cover band, in 2011 they started to make their own music. Banjo and tin whistle together with electric guitars, bass and drums create an original and captivating sound, that avoids some clichés of the genre. The band moves up, playing many shows and making dance and jump the crowd of listeners. On March 31th 2012 their first self-released EP “Senza Rotta” came out and was later voted on a web poll as Mantua’s record of the year. On December 2013 they start to collaborate with the indipendent label Nemeton Records and in 2014 "Senza Rotta" is released on digital stores. The new full lenght "Sei" came out on July 25th, published by Nemeton Records and recorded in Parma by Carlo Izzo. A new start for a band which already had the opportunity to play in big festivals (Gods Of Folk, Irlanda In Festa, Brintaal Celtic Folk, Festa di Radio Onda d'Urto) and to play as opening act for important bands of the punk (Punkreas) and folk (The Rumjacks, Flatfoot 56, Folkstone) music scene.
