Spring Taste

English Biography In the Year 2009, Vincent, Hugo and Paul form the band which isn't called Spring Taste yet. They are joined by Julien a year later. After a few tests with different singers, Johan is finally chosen as the lead singer of the group, in January 2011. Within the next 3 years, the band gives 15 concerts in the region of Rouen, and composes 10 original songs. The musical style of Spring Taste is hard to define. They prefer to say simply that they make their own music, and that's all! They don't complicate their lives, and have an instinctive vision of music. The band has many influences, from blues to metal, to punk rock, hip hop, hard rock... Spring Taste is after all a mood and a mix of musical cultures. In October 2013 they release their first EP, Roving thru the Greed. You can feel the musical evolution of the band in it. The first composition Price to Pay, which sounds like a modern Hendrix song, and the last, End Now what? Writen in 2013 in a more original and personal style. The EP's concept is the anacronic vision of a trapper coming in a modern town, and giving his opinion, between lyrism and cynism, about the society we are living in. The idea is to make new stuff with old stuff, mixing psychedelic moods with metal and hard rock riffs, poetic and political texts. It's a starting point for Spring Taste, and the entrance to their universe. In the end of 2014, Julien leaves the band because he is moving to south France. He is replaced by Ben, which brings new ideas to the band, a new breathe and other influences. Within the year 2015, Spring Taste write more new songs. The band records two titles, for a single called "Free yourself from your Fear". It sounds more intense and harder. The single is released March 2016. Paul, the solo guitarist had to leave the band too, to focus on his studies. He was replaced by Antoine in September 2015.
