Sporeganic

Sporeganic, or Scott Hedstrom as his mom & clients call him, is a multi-instrumental audio/visual artist from Portland Oregon. After 10 years of producing, he is sweeping up and down the west coast, dropping his signature style of glitched out sacred bass music. Mixing the eastern mystic vibrations with the west coast bass style, his performances are more like a ritual for him. Just ask anyone who saw people off the street coming to get down when he played at #OccupyPortland! Summer started off with his first ever west coast tour. Alongside Knowa KnowOne, Bird of Prey & The Black Rock City All-Stars, he laid it down with his usual style. The tour kicked off with a date in Hollywood with LowRiderz (Antennae & DJ Laura) and PussyMonster (with Zoe from Beats Antique). For the third summer in a row, Sporeganic dropped high-energy sets at Photosynthesis & EMRGNSEE festivals, resulting in massive dance parties going down! He also spread out into the northwest festival scene, performing late night sets at Human Nature, Portland Burning Man (SOAK), RE:GENERATION, Fire In The Canyon, Mountain Stomp and Earthdance (with his 4 year old son Jadybearz on his shoulders rocking the mic)! With his mysterious crew, he would sneak large sound systems into the campgrounds at most of these festivals, and lay down renegade sets till the sun came up (sometimes long after), or until security removed their power-source. The year culminated with 12 performances over the course of a week at Burning Man 2011, sharing the stage with the likes of Splatinum, Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, Ill Gates, and so many more! 2012 is shaping up to be a huge year for Sporeganic, after being signed to the Oakland based Street Ritual Agency & Label. His upcoming “Shamaninja EP” will be dropping this year, with his full-length album “Fresh To Deaf” quickly following suit. He is also a co-founder of Shamanic Sounds, a promotion crew & monthly bass music event in Portland, as well as one half of SporeZilla, a fresh project with the producer/dj TreyZilla.
