About Slowgun

Some nice things people have said; "I am your biggest (USA) fan"- R Stevie Moore "Slowgun are going places - you heard it here first (or seventeenth). I know little about them other than that they’ve apparently been around since 2004 and have UK and Italian members and have played lots of support slots. That, and they’re strongly influenced by 90s alt-rock-influenced guitar pop, particularly the Breeders. That sound is so zeitgeisty now it’s a wonder there are no records from them other than the excellent self-released ‘Stephen’ from the end of last year but that makes seeing their live show so essential. File under: “too good to be just below the headliners”. - GED M @ SoundXP.com "Indie-pop perfection"-Drowned in Sound "fledgling perfect pop"-Noisestar "Sunny punk songs and precious lullabies that flash by in 60 seconds yet never leave your head."-The Windmill "They sound like they've been around for ages but they are a mere babe in swaddling cloths. Songs of heartbreak and love and comic book heroes, dark of rhythm and hopeful of voice. Don't miss."-The Windmill "London quartet Slowgun peddle sunkissed pop songs which deal with subjects such as heartbreak, love and comic book heroes"- Channel 4 Unsigned (on tunetribe) "Slowgun are a great combo with roots as broad and diverse as Velvet Underground and Josef K, Sonic Youth and Fiery Furnaces. This set is a breakneck collection of 2-3 minute songs, awkwardly instant. Even their squally finale is wild rather than angry, with the reassuring lyric "I don't hate you". Slowgun have flown onto a superbly eccentric orbit all of their own. Keep that comet coming!" - RF Opposition T “When New Wave came out it was apparently as fabricated as New Rave, so cool people like Richard Hell and Lydia Lunch invented No Wave to counter it - according to my book "The Idiot's Guide To No Wave". However! SLOWGUN have that No Wave vibe, but because they are literally a new band, does that mean they are New No Wave? Aaaarghhhh!!”- ALFONZOS DEMO KITCHEN BUY THE SINGLE HERE -> https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/next-time-sidekick-me-single/id695727264
