About Sikadime

Sikadime is a Canadian independent gold selling artist/producer and Grammy nominated/platinum musician from Vancouver BC. Best known for his collaborations with artists such as B-Real of Cypress Hill, Demrick, Mellow Man Ace, Moka Only, D-Sisive, CookBook of LA Symphony, Dan-e-o as well his production work for Tru-Paz "Revolutions (The Time has Come)", the theme for the 2010 indie cult film "The Musick”, and for involvement for T.I’s “My Type” off the 2007 platinum album “T.I. Vs T.I.P.”

Originally from Victoria BC, it was in the late 90’s/early 2000’s that Sikadime came to prominence as the frontman for the disbanded groups Tha Pacolyps & Joker'z Wild in Toronto and Niagara, Ontario. After a string of releases & regional tours, Tha Pacolyps caught the ear of Suge Knight and signed to Death Row Record’s subsidiary label Tha Row Underground. The release of the singles "What Kind Of Man Am I" & the solo Sikadime track "The Essence" solidified the young artist as a strong voice. After the label folded and the group split up, Sikadime started on an impressive solo music journey.

After a couple years bouncing back and forth between the New York City and Los Angeles music scenes as an in demand producer and studio musician, Sikadime took back to the indie route and self funded his 2006 album Rejuvenated. With no music video, no radio promotion and heavy touring, the album eventually gave Sikadime a gold single for the title song “Rejuvenated”.

The album opened doors for the artist leading to world wide distribution deals and contributing vocals to B-Real of Cypress Hill’s album "The Harvest". While working on The Harvest, Sikadime signed a one album deal to Cypress Hill’s label Latin Thug Records distributed by Universal Records which released his 2010 album “Carpe Noctem" and was rewarded with being inducted into the Canadian Library & Archives. During that summer Sikadime inked a management deal for touring with Lil Wayne's Young Money Records, however the deal would be terminated by the end of 2010.

After 2012's successful Night Of Your Life Tour across North America in support of "They Missing Out When They Not Here," (at the time digitally distributed by Interscope Records), Sikadime walked away at the peak of his career to deal with the tragic loss of his former girlfriend and the murder of a high school friend & original member of Joker’z Wild.

After a 5 year hiatus, relocating back to his northwest roots & creating his own label From West Till Three, Sikadime released the award winning albums "Going The Distance", "The Wooden Spiral Staircase in a Glass House" before announcing his retirement on his 50th and final album “Losers, Rejects & Renegades.”

Sikadime still continues to produce tracks for other artists but lives a quiet life in the mountains with his wife and son.
