Shelley Segal

Shelley Segal is an award-winning singer-songwriter, known for her poignant folk and pop songs that blend personal narratives with sociopolitical commentary. Born and raised in Melbourne, Segal’s musical journey began at age 11, performing traditional Klezmer music with her father’s band. Despite the constraints she faced within her religious community, she reclaimed her musical heritage, infusing traditional sounds with themes of self-expression and dissent.

Her debut album, “An Atheist Album,” garnered international acclaim and led to years of headlining tours across USA and Europe. She has performed to festival crowds of over 30,000. Her music receives airplay worldwide and features on major networks including NBCUniversal and NFL Network.

She leads music production company Secret Sauce and label/publishing house True Music, where she is committed to empowering music creators in the independent sector. She is an alumni of Music to Life’s Changemaker Program and the Recording Academy’s Grammy NEXT Program.

Shelley regularly performs for grassroots activists and communities using her music to create the world she wants to see.
