Emerging from the backwoods of southern Indiana, Severed Senses have been ripping through the metal scene since early 2013. With a broad range of musical influences, this 5-piece melodic metal band has created a unique sound of driving guitar riffs, powerful drums, and intense, yet melodic vocalizations. Playing with notable acts such as Chimaira, The Browning, Incantation, Acheron, Byzantine, Rivers of Nihil, Affiance, Angel Vivaldi, This or the Apocalypse, Tear out the Heart, Mobile Deathcamp, Phinehas and many others, Severed Senses are out to prove that they are not just your typical local metal band, but a group of relentless musicians. Upon releasing their debut EP titled “Purgatory” in the spring of 2016, Severed Senses are building a movement with their unforgettable live performances to show that heavy metal is still very much alive and well.
