Scott Richmond Music

Scott Richmond is a Regina-based musician and songwriter who has been capturing the attention of listeners everywhere with his unique and soulful take on folk-country and rock and roll. While living in Nashville, TN, he recorded his debut album, Come What May, with some of Music City’s best. It went on to reach the Top 10 on multiple folk charts across Canada and was named the #1 folk/country album of 2014 by the Winnipeg Free Press. In December of last year, Richmond travelled to Los Angeles, CA to record his sophomore album with Grammy award winning producer/engineer Kevin Augunas at the famous Sound City Studios.

Since the release of his first album, Richmond has been performing throughout Western Canada, the United States and South America, including showcases at BreakOut West and the Folk Alliance International Music Conference in Kansas City, MO.

With his engaging lyrics, and virile and gutsy voice, he has developed a style that has been described as “stunningly compelling” by Kerry Doole of Exclaim Magazine, who adds that it is “a perfect vehicle for his literate and gritty folk meets country material”. This, combined with an authentic and dynamic live show, is leading to an ever-growing fan base that is eager to hear what the Saskatchewan troubadour will do next.
