About Satellites Fall

In February of 2012, Satellites Fall released their first EP, "Lines on the Road", to positive reviews. The EP received "Runner UP" for Album/EP of the year by Limelight Magazine. The track "Servitude" gained them entry into local indie/alt rock station, 95.5 WBRU's, 2012 Rock Hunt where they finished as semi-finalists. "Servitude" and "Perfect Weather" both received mainstream radio play. "Servitude" was also featured on an episode of the Youtube comedy series "Adults Only" featuring Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills 90210, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Smallville), Vincent Pastore (Sopranos), Adrienne LaValley (Taken, Insidious), Brianna Brown (Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin), and Ronnie Marmo (General Hospital). In July of 2012, Satellites Fall was invited by 95.5 WBRU to open for Multi-Platinum Selling Recording Artist "Bush" (Interscope, Atlantic, E1 Records) at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI. However, due to a scheduling conflict the band was unable to perform. Later that month, they were a supporting act for Platinum Selling Recording Artist, "Hoobastank" (Island Records) and have supported for other notable national acts including "The Trews" (Bumstead, Universal Records), "Electric Six" (WEA, Metropolis Records), "Sponge" (Sony, Beyond, Idol Records), "Taproot" (Atlantic, Victory Records), "Nonpoint" (MCA/Geffen/Universal), and "The Young Rapscallions". In late 2012, the band released a follow up single, "One Night". The single was nominated for "Song of the Year" by Limelight Magazine. It received commercial radio play and continues to be a crowd favorite. In 2013, the band released a follow up single, "Strange New Day". The track was debuted on radio station 95.5 WBRU (Providence, RI) where it remained an exclusive track for the first few months of it's release. The track also gained them entry into the 95.5 WBRU 2013 Rock Hunt where they finished as Semi-finalists. Throughout 2013, Satellites Fall continued to support national acts including "American Idol" season 7 winner, "David Cook" (RCA Records) (direct support), "Andrew W.K." (Universal Music Group, Island Records), "Sick Puppies" (Virgin, EMI, Capitol), and "10 Years" (Universal, Warner Music Group). The band was also offered to directly support Eve 6 (RCA, BMG, Sony) but were previously scheduled to perform at Rhode Island internet radio station's 990wbob.com's annual breast cancer fundraiser, "Boobstock". In January of 2014 the band was nominated for "Best In State: RI" in The New England Music Awards. Satellites Fall remain a very active band with a heavy gigging schedule including performances at festivals such as The Dewey Beach Music Conference (Delaware), The Liberty Fest (Philly), and M.E.A.N.Y Fest (NYC). The band has won various competitions and has been voted artist of the month in several publications, including Rocksposure.com (February, 2012) and were recently a featured artist on ReverbNation. The band is scheduled to start recording a new EP titled, "Pascal's Wager", as well as filming their first official video for "Strange New Day". ------------------------------- Reviews: “Somewhere in the middle of all this great music came the boys form Satellites Fall. It was undeniable that they were the crowd favorite. Offering an electro alt rock sound, Satellites Fall had the eyes and ears of the crowd.” - Pal, 990wbob.com (Oct 28, 2013) “...no one has worked harder in this business than Satellites Fall. Their unique style has put them on big stages all over the east coast.” - Marc Clarkin interviewing 990wbob.com, Motif Magazine (Oct 5, 2013) “Satellites Fall have been making waves through their shows, and their song “One Night” has been getting spins on WBRU.” - Marc Clarkin, Motif Magazine (Mar 12, 2013) "Imagine a brit-indie sound that mixes elements of The Killers with elements of The Cure." - Alex Kantarelis, The Pulse Magazine (Jul 12, 2012) "Vocalist Mark Charron can pen and hit hooks, as heard on the 2012 debut EP Lines On the Road. The first single "Servitude" is a legit alt-pop radio hit." - Chris Conti, The Providence Phoenix (March 14, 2013) "Satellites Fall has released the blueprint for things to come. An exceptionally produced example of what happens when a group of serious and professional minded guys follow their hearts into the recording studio. Five tracks that sound a bit like a cage match between Radiohead, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters in which the quirkiness of Radiohead and the pop sensibilities of Coldplay come out on top." - George Dow, The Deli Magazine - New England (Mar 29, 2012) "Ever hear a song that you feel this insatiable need to run through a few times? That’s what hit me right off the bat as I listened to Satellites Fall’s EP, Lines on the Road. For this album, you’ll want to let this run on repeat, and trust me when I say that it’s time well spent." - Max Bowen, Noise Magazine (Online) (Apr 01, 2012) "'Lines On The Road’ takes you everywhere you wanted to go with every album you’ve ever bought; heady, rocky, music bliss!… …amazing vocals… …'The World Outside' is definitely a favorite…" - Rev. ScareKrowe K, FUR.FM (Mar 08, 2012) "I can't argue with their self-proclaimed description as a 'creative blend of beautiful melody, thoughtful lyrics, and harmonious song structure' when hearing their current single 'Servitude.' Regardless of the (Rock Hunt) outcome, this one should stick in the rotation at 'BRU." - Chris Conti, Providence Phoenix (Mar 01, 2012) "Satellites Fall are quickly becoming a rising star within their native Massachusetts Rock Scene." - Chris Brach, Rocksposure.com (Feb 21, 2012) "For 'Lines on the Road', Satellites Fall's first official release, the band sheds some of their Foo Fighters-ish bombast in favor of a subtler indie-pop. This time out, Satellites Fall let their inner Radiohead shine through. 'Servitude' sets the tone with a contemporary take on The Cure and Echo & The Bunnymen. 'Hold Out', the EP's standout track, shines with its more complex mix. Here, the drumming stands out, while the vocals show their widest range. Any time you kick Dave Grohl to the curb for Thom Yorke you'll come out on top - a fact proven by Satellites Fall with 'Lines on the Road'." - George Dow, Noise Magazine (Print) Issue 320 (April 2012) "Combining elements of indie, Brit and alternative rock, Satellites Fall are new to the local music scene but have already made a name for themselves." - Jessica A. Botelho, Limelight Magazine (May 21, 2012) "...Satellites Fall managed to win me over with their tried-and-true indie rock...." - Alex Schab, Dig Boston (Aug 24, 2011) ----------------------------------- Achievements: Nominated for Best In State: RI-The New England Music Awards - 2014 95.5 WBRU Rock Hunt Semi-finalists - 2013 95.5 WBRU Rock Hunt Semi-finalists - 2012 90.7 WXIN Rock Hunt - 2014 Runner Up for Album/EP of the Year for "Lines on the Road" by Limelight Magazine. 2012/2013 Nominated for Song of the Year for "One Night" by Limelight Magazine Winner of the 2011 Original Band Showdown Rocksposure.com Artist Of The Month - February, 2012 ----------------------------------- Festival Performances: M.E.A.N.Y.
