Sara (1) is a Finnish alternative metal band originating from Kaskinen. It is one of the modern metal bands that have recently been rising through the Finnish metal scenes into public knowledge.

Sara was formed already in 1995 by Jorma Korhonen, Antti Tuomivirta, Tommi Koivikko and Kristian Udd. They still form the basis of Sara, while the drummer has changed a few times. The original drummer was Risto Liimatainen, who played from the beginning when the band was called Kellariväkeä and played finnish punk. The current drummer is Andreas Bäcklund. The name Sara was chosen as a sort of tribute to Jorma's beloved dog, also named Sara.
