Ryan Gazzola Music

Ryan Joseph Gazzola was born and raised in Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver, Canada. Since the success of his 2015 debut, "Silently Screaming - EP", the 22-year-old Singer-Songwriter is set to release his first full-length album in Fall 2017. Ryan's musical style of pop-rock with elements of blues, soul, and jazz has drawn comparisons to those of John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr. and James Bay. Crafting emotionally honest songs that are both poetic and captivating, the 22-year old explores iconic golden-era musicality within the framework of modern pop. In an interview with HerCampus.com, Ryan described his sound: "In my music I try to bridge the old and the new. Like what would happen if the playful vocal melodies of Ed Sheeran and the intense, but passionate guitar playing of Jimi Hendrix collided.” Created with a deep admiration for a diverse and broad spectrum of musical influences, Ryan’s melting pot of styles resists confinement to one specific genre. During the summer of 2015, Ryan was a finalist in the Calgary Stampede's prestigious Talent Search Competition. Playing his original song Emotion, he was dubbed #VocalGold by Dragons' Den entrepreneur and philanthropist W. Brett Wilson on Twitter. Ryan was also a finalist in the 2016 Calgary Stampede Talent Search, playing another original song entitled Please, Please Stay. In July 2016, Ryan was selected as one of Budweiser's Roxy Launch Project Top 20 artists. He competed at The Roxy Cabaret, a downtown Vancouver venue where many popular acts including The Sheepdogs, Billy Talent, and Chad Brownlee have performed. The independent songwriter performs live with the 5-piece Ryan Gazzola Band, a group of talented, young musicians from McGill University, as well as solo.
