Run The Coast

Run The Coast is a Pop Punk band emerging from North Tonawanda, NY. The band was created in early 2011 with musicians all from previous bands. Run The Coast is made up of James Aquilina, Evan Barnett and Matt Rua. James is the lead singer and bassist, Evan is the guitarist as well as a backup vocalist and Matt is the drummer. Having known each other for years through the local high school track team, music had brought them closer together. Run The Coast’s musical influences come from Yellow Card, Paramore, The Starting Line and Incubus. These three musicians have been playing together since 2007 in jam sessions and various bands, creating a very strong bond. Their music is known to be comparable to Blink 182 and The Starting Line. Run The Coast has a connection to their audience that is inviting through their music and joking yet on stage demeanor. These guys bring it while engaging with fans on and off stage. For the past few years they have been touring and opening up for other local artists. Throughout Upstate NY they have been performing with other bands such as The Vampirates, Sleep Atlantic, Hold It High, Hal Jordan and other local artists. Recently they have been seen putting on shows in their local front yard of Tonawanda, NY where they performed at the annual 4th of July fireworks display near Niawanda Park. Performing covers of songs by artists such as Blink 182, Yellowcard and Taylor Swift they have began to introduce their own material to the large numbers of people who stop and listen.
