About Rory Indiana

KERRANG KKKK "Mountainous in sound." "Bolting guitar riffs and piercingly thunderous drums" With fickle temperaments and destructive tendencies, the human mind can be a freakish place. Here's a disorientating trip through a brilliant one" UPSET **** (4 stars) "It's Sharper, diverse and offers more than the immense riffs the band have become known for. It delivers the same spitfire unruliness the Brighton rockers convey in their live shows. Pit Ready of course." ROCK SOUND 7/10 "Brighton's Rory Indiana offer an enigmatic spin on the alt-rock template, with 'Ruling Class Crooks' full of Juggernaut riffing intricately intertwining with colossal choruses." "Big thunderous riffs and a sumptuous vocal combine brilliantly. 7/10" - [Alt Dialogue] "Towering riffs and emotion-fuelled vocals." - [Rad Sound] "Decadent riffs flow into soothing bridges and intricate melodies lay over punchy rhythms to deliver a refreshing brand of Brit rock; these guys are oozing with an exciting potential" - [Bring the Noise UK] "The quirky vocals of frontman Rory Kaye are equally as captivating and we’re wondering why on earth we haven’t checked out this band before" - [Bring The Noise UK] "Empiricism 'Between the powerful overall style, fast-spitting phrases, and empowering tone, this is the weight-lifting track of the ages" - [Planet Stereo LIVE] Combining “heavy riffs, catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics,” with “honest music,” alternative rock band Rory Indiana is set to reveal their best EP yet. ‘Ruling Class Crooks’, produced by Chris Coulter is due to be released in September this year. The Brighton four-piece will be embarking on a UK tour in support of the EP, with dates to be announced. Having supported big bands, most notably EMP!RE and Rival State, proves they have accomplished a great deal. Steadily paving their way through the festival circuit, performing at festivals such as 2000 Trees, ArcTanGent and Unfest, the band have even more, exciting festival slots to announce. This includes performing at this year’s Great Escape festival and Y Not festival. Formed in 2013, the members of the alternative rock band met through their love of music and grew up together - with a shared goal of a career in a band. The group consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Rory Kaye, lead guitarist Ben Clement, bassist Dan Ely and drummer Josh Gale. They draw inspiration from a wide range of genres, with their sound progressing from light rock to a more aggressive sound, but still incorporating softer elements. Producing a similar sound to Biffy Clyro and Arcane Roots, the group is influenced by a vast spectrum of artists including Reuben, Michael Jackson, Architects and Eminem. Noizzle blog suggests, “Anyone who likes bands such as Arctic Monkeys and Royal Blood will enjoy Rory Indiana!" • KERRANG - KKKK • UPSET - 4/5 • ROCK SOUND 7/10
