About Rising Curse
Formed in 2012, Rising Curse began to successfully break through the Brazilian metal scene. Performing live shows they quickly gained a reputation as one of São Paulo's most exciting emerging bands.
The band's complex and dynamic sound, along with energizing live performances, helped the band stand out. After the release of their self-titled album in 2016, they hit the road making appearances in various Brazilian locations. In 2017 the band was transferred to Portugal where it received important additions to its lineup, Tomás Matos (vocals), Bernardo Nunes (guitar), and Bruno Bontempo (bass).
The year 2022 began with Rising Curse's tour of Portuguese venues and the recording and production of their new album 'Years in the Darkness'. This new work sparks powerful riffs and dynamic melodies, loaded with heavy and aggressive attitude and lyrics bringing historical themes in connection with the contemporary sociopolitical and cultural context, all with a modern flair.
The band's complex and dynamic sound, along with energizing live performances, helped the band stand out. After the release of their self-titled album in 2016, they hit the road making appearances in various Brazilian locations. In 2017 the band was transferred to Portugal where it received important additions to its lineup, Tomás Matos (vocals), Bernardo Nunes (guitar), and Bruno Bontempo (bass).
