Resando is a live electronic band based in London, UK. Inspired by 80's sci-fi films such as Blade Runner and Mad Max, the 4 piece band take the listener through a series of punchy verses and soaring, powerful choruses with their grandiose electronic anthems. Entirely self-produced. Formed in the small town of Trento, Italy in 2009 as the brain child of singer Filippo De Asmundis and bass player Michele Ceola, they set out to create a powerful fusion of rock and electronic styles to create their own unique and distinct sound. After building a strong following in Italy and sharing the stage with acts such as Placebo and Kraftwerk, they decided to relocate to London in 2011 to pursue and realize their full potential as a band. “We felt like staying in Italy would have been a dead end. If you’re confident in the quality of your work and willing to put all of yourself into it, you need to take the challenge.” 2011 saw them successfully touring through 9 cities in Southern Brazil, a successful show at the Proud Galleries at the O2 as well as playing to packed out venues around London, including a memorable sold out show at the infamous Barfly in Camden and providing as the main support slot to the electronic outfit Dope Stars Inc. in 2012. 2011 also saw the release of their debut album entitled Secrets which was greeted with positive reviews, being described as “full of promise” and “eclectic and refreshing.” “The band's songwriting always hits the spot.” “ 'Secrets' is an extremely involving product, able to update the creative genius of Trent Reznor's first albums with Nine Inch Nails, and mix it with the melodical verve of fashionable bands such as 30 Seconds To Mars.” Maurizio Gabelli, RITUAL magazine After such a strong initial reaction and the desire for a refreshing and individual voice in full flow, the writing process for a new EP was approached from a new angle. They decided to invert the process of writing in a rehearsal room before heading into the studio and went into the studio first to experiment and see if the new strategy would yield them any decent results. What materialized was an enhancement of the debut album, leaving behind the more obvious influences in favour of a more electro pop sound, atmospherically inspired by 80’s sci-fi films such as Blade Runner, the 4 track EP New Religion. Entirely self produced, the 4 new tracks take the listener through a series of punchy verses, souring and powerful choruses and grandiose electronic anthems, giving just enough to satisfy old and new fans whilst keeping enough to themselves to keep people coming back for more. www.resando.com
