About Red Eye Crew

Born and raised in Saint Martin the “Red Eye Crew” (R.E.C) is a group made of four young artists from 22
to 24 years.
Created in 1998 by 3 brothers: Skelet, Cardo and Jahny-P, the group increased one year later when
they were joined by Dizzell-Bueno in 1999.

They are so varied to define their musical influences is practically impossible.
With a mixture of Dancehall, Reggae flavored by Rap, Hip Hop and R&B, and a touch of Pop /Electronic
and Kompas the group is often described as multitask with the different style and variety of music they
provided/offer.
Thus thanks to their talent it is the sound of the islands which brings out their pieces.

Characterizing their style with English, Patois, Creole and French texts “Red Eye Crew” tackles different
subjects but always in positive ways with a creative concept to defend the project.

The group already counts with its credibility with a significant number of scenes in Saint Martin,
Guadeloupe, Martinique, France and Europe as whole.

In 2008 R.E.C released their first official video clip entitled “FlY”.
The song immediately became a hit in Saint Martin, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and France.
The video clip was used as a tourist attraction commercial inviting people to Sint Maarten/Saint Martin
in an international airline “Air France” and was also nominated by Youtube as best video clip for that
week in which the video clip was released. While others used “Fly” video clip as a tourist attraction all of
the Mc Donalds in France aired the video clip in what they call Virgin 17 landing the clip in the top 10
videos on Virgin 17.

Their work continued in 2009 when they created their hit song “Kalala” followed by the video clip.
The song became the official theme song for the Playboy party in France, and the #1 Soca Song in Europe.
Not only did the song Kalala and video clip become a hit, it also became a slang used by kids, teens and
adults creating words such as Kalarific, Kalafari, Kalamity etc.
And from 2009 up to today’s current date the Kala song, video clip, dance, and slangs are still being used
as if it was just yesterday Kalala song was released.

After having both radio and tv interviews locally and abroad R.E.C’s fan base began to grew larger
putting the island on the map.
Their demand of performance was highly recommended by their fans which brought the group to
France in 2010 for Bordeaux annual Carnival pulling crowds from all over Europe.
Foute Bordel was Bordeaux’s 2010 theme carnival song done by R.E.C with 30,000 plus pedestrians
dancing through the streets was of R.E.C’s greatest moment.

With all the accomplishments completed R.E.C still strives for more.
At this current moment they are working on their album which should be released early 2010.

The group’s ultimate task is to make great music.
Every day is another hit.

“Red Eye Crew”: “Our goal is to divert.
One does not want to recall to people their problems, so to listen to our music it’s like leaving to a other world ,it’s a therapy.

-------------------- French version -----------------------
