About Randy Montana

Nashville native, singer-songwriter Randy Montana has been described as a “standout among his “I’m more country than you peers.” His songs are pure, honest, gritty but still manage to be from the heart. His stye clings to the rough edges of country’s musical highway with clear hints of his childhood musical influences intertwined through out. Growing up in the “music business” with a successful songwriter father, Billy Montana, he was familiar with the industry and “good music” before attending grade school. As a child they listened to Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and Jackson Brown among others. “I didn’t grow up on kids music. On road trips my whole family would be singing ‘Mary Janes Last Dance.’ You know, totally normal for an 8 year old,” Randy says laughing. But its that influence that has helped build and mold him into the artist and songwriter he is today. He has quite the resume of touring, opening for artist such as Taylor Swift, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and many others. And in the songwriting world, having a George Straight cut isn’t too shabby either. He has penned songs recorded by David Nail, Parmalee, James Wesley, and wrote “What if I was willing” that was featured on the hit TV show NASHVILLE. He currently writes for Sony ATV Publishing and is presently working on an independent EP to be released in 2016. “I am excited about the new music. Its five songs that I believe in and co-wrote with some great writers in this town,” Randy says. “I had a great time working with Jeremy Stover to create a project I can be proud of and looking forward to getting these tunes out there for everyone to hear.” Singer-songwriter Randy Montana. www.randymontana.com
