Project Versus

A bottle of good wine, a computer, a few instruments and passion laid the foundation to Project Versus. Starting off as a metal project, working on in a badly isolated studio in downtown Montreal. During winter, the band had to wear gloves and keep their winter coat on, while waiting for the amps to heat up the space. Microphones attached to broken drumstick with duck tape, plugged into a 25 year old mixer with a minidisk was how Project Versus recorded their first demo. As opportunities came, the band acquired a much bigger studio, more reliable instruments and recording equipment, allowing the musicians to start working on their first album that would later be known as Welcome Down To Earth. A self recorded album with the help of great friends, supported by family members and a tiny fan base, the album was released in mid 2010. Thanks to a reliable booker, the band played with over 50 different band from all over Quebec. While keeping the local scene aware of their presence, early works on an EP begun. Unfortunately, in 2012, due to a line-up change, the production was halted and for almost a year, the band's future was at stake. Relying only on hopes and dreams, the remaining members began the search for new members. At the dawn of 2014, armed with customized instruments, sophisticated recording gear and a new line-up, the band is now getting ready to finish their EP and begin working on a second album. This is the beginning of a new chapter! Project Versus is a Hard Rock/Metal band from Montreal. The band is known for its unique sound, dynamic riffs and melodic approach.
