(English below) ITALIANO I Pleasure Slaves sono una True Epic Metal band di Bergamo, fondata nel 2009 dal batterista Roberto Ira e dal cantante Simone Grigolo. Dopo l’arrivo di Alessandro Villa al basso, Simone Bianchi e Oscar Giavazzi alle chitarre, la formazione definitiva fu pronta per colpire nella scena Metal. Il nome "Pleasure Slaves" deriva dall'omonima canzone dei Manowar, maggiori responsabili dell'avvicinamento all'epic metal da parte di tutti i membri della band. Le tematiche principali delle loro canzoni sono le epiche battaglie, combattute in nome degli dei del Valhalla, le eroiche imprese dei cavalieri ed i valori per i quali si battono. Tra le numerose fonti di ispirazione troviamo poi la saga delle "Cronache del Ghiaccio e del Fuoco" di George Martin. Insomma, le caratteristiche che appartengono a questi cinque “Difensori del Vero Metal” sono l'energia, la forza, il coraggio e l'onore. Tutto ciò viene dimostrato nei live, in cui il pubblico si esalta ed intona cori inneggianti i supremi valori per cui i Pleasure Slaves si battono, sino a formare un'unica grande famiglia unita nel nome del "Vero Metal". Già dai primi anni di attività i Pleasure Slaves hanno raggiunto importanti traguardi, tra i quali la pubblicazione dell'album d'esordio "The Last of the Giants", che ha avuto un riscontro positivo sia da parte della critica che dei fans. La band ha inoltre avuto l'onore di esibirsi con artisti di fama internazionale come Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine) e Morby (Domine, Sabotage). A fine 2012 Simone Grigolo lascia la band a causa d'impegni personali e i Pleasure Slaves interrompono momentaneamente l'attività live, che può riprendere già a metà 2013 grazie al suo inaspettato rientro. Più forti di prima, i Pleasure Slaves continuano a percorrere la via del "Vero Metal" e a tenere alti i suoi valori. Il Vero Metal non morirà mai. ENGLISH Pleasure Slaves is a True Epic Metal band from Bergamo (Italy), founded in the year 2009 by the drummer Roberto Ira and the singer Simone Grigolo. After the join of Alessandro Villa at the bass, Simone Bianchi and Oscar Giavazzi at the guitars, the ultimate line-up was ready to strike into the metal scene. The name "Pleasure Slaves" comes from the homonymous song of Manowar, who are the most responsible to the approach to the Epic metal by all the band members. The main issues of their songs are the epic battles, fought in the name of the gods of Valhalla, the heroic acts of the knights and the values for which they fight. Among the many sources of inspiration there’s the saga "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George Martin. In conclusion, the features that belong to these five “Defenders of True Metal” are energy, strenght, courage and honor. All of this is shown in their concerts, where the public is enhanced and sings choirs praising the supreme values which Pleasure Slaves are fighting for, to form a single large family united in the name of True Metal. Since the early years, Pleasure Slaves have reached important milestones, including the release of their debut album "The Last of the Giants", which had a positive response from both the critics and the fans. The band also had the honor of performing with internationally renowned artists like Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine) and Morby (Domine, Sabotage). At the end of the year 2012, the singer Simone Grigolo left the band because of personal commitments and the band momentarily interrupt the live activity, which can resume in the mid of 2013 thanks to his unexpected return.
