Hailing from the vibrant tapestry of Chicago’s Westside, Pia’s musicality began at the tender age of six, when her remarkable voice resonated with the timeless enchantment of classic Disney tunes. She sang her heart out with a voice as pure as her aspirations, painting her dreams on every note. Through the encouragement of her grandmother, Pia realized early that her voice was a gift and should be used to serve the world.

Yet, the tumultuous currents of adolescence threatened to silence her gift. It wasn’t until her early twenties that Pia reignited the flame within and embarked on a path to fulfill her destiny as a professional musician. Enrolling in Harold Washington College’s Music Performance program, Pia honed her craft and, armed with a bass guitar, joined a local Reggae Band. Her talents flourished, and soon she graced the stage, lending her soulful vocals as a background singer to various artists.

In a pivotal moment of destiny, Pia stepped into the spotlight, auditioning for American Idol at the age of 23. Her performance captivated hearts and drew admiration from legends like Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul. Yet, it was Simon Cowell’s words that encapsulated her essence:

“I like you. You’re interesting. You don’t have the demeanor of a backing singer. Some of them come in like whipped donkeys. You’re confident; you’re stylish. I like you. I like you a lot.” – Simon Cowell
