About Pete Jacobs

Pete Jacobs began his journey in a little Catskill Mountain town called Stamford, NY. Growing up, his grandmother was a local church organist and choir director in the neighboring town of Hobart, where his mom also sang in the choir. His mother would occasionally take him with her to perform in the choir where Pete learned to sing hymns. His older sister, Lauren, also played trumpet in the school band and had an affinity for sight-reading piano. Somewhere along the way, Pete convinced her to teach him a little piano... And so his musical journey began!

Eventually, Pete stumbled across his mom's CD collection of The Beatles, The Who, The Doors, Neil Young, Cream, and so many other great classic rock bands., and he had to have an electric guitar. In high school, he found himself jamming with his close friends, but none of them wanted to sing. Pete eventually accepted the challenge and began singing in the bands he played with. Of course, if he hadn't, he wouldn't have been able to become the frontman of Dirty Blind, and he wouldn't have found such a great outlet for his passion of songwriting!

Pete ended up attending Berklee College of Music, got a degree in Music Production and Engineering, and fronted the rock band, Dirty Blind, who toured with the classic rock band, Jefferson Starship. He eventually made his way to Nashville, TN to continue his career as a songwriter, pop/rock singer, and music producer. Pete currently writes original music, tours, and produces local Nashville bands under his company, Black Dog Recording, LLC. Pete also learned to fly airplanes as a kid, and now teaches it, so if you're looking for a singing pilot/flight instructor, you know where to find him!
