About Pelagic

A hard hitting heavy Stoner/Rock/Metal band that draw influences from many bands including Black Sabbath, Down, Orange Goblin and many more to create their sound. The band released a four song EP in 2009 called "Psychedelic Dreams". The band spent most of 2009-10 writing and doing multiple shows and by fall 2010 drummer Mats Sødahl joined the band as a permanent member. Another four song EP entitled "Monkey king" was recorded in August that year and came out shortly after. It was supported by the bands first music video. Pelagic consisting of Håvard Alvarez ,Eddie Johansen and Mats Sødahl signed with Ghost Town Artist in 2011 and they finished up the recording and printing of their debutalbum "Nocturnia" in 2012. This was the first time the band worked with producer Jon Tore Dombu at his Skarp Studio in Klæbu outside of Trondheim. It was released on the 26th of October and was followed up by shows at clubs and small festivals. During the summer of 2014 the band headed back into Skarp Studio, now relocated to Fossegrenda in Trondheim to start the recording of another EP. Accompanied by Spanish film maker Javier Sombremazas the band set to work and the EP called "Emeralds" was realesed 21. November 2014 on the Ghost Town Artist label. Music video for the single "Corrosion" came in october that same year. Pelagic is back! With the new EP "Myriad" They continue their journey through the world of rock&roll/stoner/blues with 6 new songs that take you along for a ride. Through country roads and blues bars, to battlefields and beyond! Yet another chapter in Pelagic's continuously evolving musical landscape is now available on all streaming services May 1st. 2017.
