Paul Jost Music

An eclectic artist known equally for his abilities as vocalist, drummer and composer. A four category Billboard Song Contest Winner, his songs, (including highly acclaimed, "Book Faded Brown"), have been recorded by The Band, Carl Perkins and Rick Danko. Paul has composed for Canon Pictures, NBC's Emmy Winning Series, ("Special Treat"), and played drums for Billy Eckstine, Mark Murphy, Ann Hampton Calloway, Frank D'Rone, Sylvia Simms. Laura Taylor and many others. He served as musical director at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, and for Morgana King, and has performed or recorded with a variety of artists including Bobby Scott, Sivuca, Dr. John, Bucky Pizzarelli, Teo Macero, Joe Farrell, Ron Carter, Vincent Falcone, Barry Rogers, Gil Goldstein, Andy Lavern, Bobby Tucker, Pee Wee Ellis, John Phillips, Jack Sheldon, Marky Markowitz, Mike Abene, George Mesterhazy, Ron Thomas and many more. Paul's vocals, drumming and harmonica can be heard on national jingles for Johnson & Johnson, American Airlines, Nissan, Annheiser Bush, Miller Beer, Subway and Dow Chemical. Having written over 40 CD's as a composer for major music libraries, his compositions are heard daily in over 750 markets throughout the US. His current projects are as vocalist and arranger in the jazz ensembles, Antfarm Quartet featuring Jim Ridl, Tim Lekan and Bob Shomo, and Modern Rock Ensemble featuring Tony Miceli and Kevin MacConnell.
