About Order Of The Dead

Order of the Dead was formed in 2009 from the healthy metal scene in Rochester NY. We have shared the stage with such acts as Deicide, Blackguard, Goatwhore, Empire of Evil, Black Tusk, Revocation, Forbidden, Onslaught, Shadows Fall, Immolation, Vader, Vital Remains, Psyopus, Hate, Scar Symmetry, Havok, White Wizzard, Jungle Rot and Abigail Williams. We strive to bring you the highest quality music that we can. Emphasis on solid riffing and strong song arrangement. We want you to have us back for repeated listens. Our message touches on important social, economic and political developments, as well as lesser known historical events. We are thinking man's metal. Members, D - Mike Giannelli, B - Toby Bailey, G - Matt Zaso, In an era when too many “metal” bands seem focused on cramming one hundred breakdowns into every song, instantly taking you back to an era when metal gods were worshiped at the Altar Of Madness by you and your high school buddies; on Walkmans and well-worn cassette tapes alike., D - Mike Adams, G - Jody Roberts, The go for the throat ferocity of heavy metals glory days are prevalent on every nuance and note, or tuning their guitars to drop Q and chugging away aimlessly, the sheer force of the vocal delivery here will sound as frightening as an elevator ride with Ray Rice, and a triumphant middle finger to current trends that holds its bloody horns high., learning some embarrassing on stage choreography that would make N’SYNC blush, Past Members, Black Curse wastes no time with pleasantries, but to those who long for the days of real and absolutely pummeling metal, D - Dino Verzillo, G - Jay Cala, but never losing the listener to a display of self-important musical excess that plague so many other bands of this genre, G - Sam Cuevas, G - Colin Hanna, the song craft is always the key focus here. Each instrument working together seamlessly: Pushing a well-oiled kill machine onward through nightmares of political corruption, and dive bomb, and keeps Black Curse fresh and interesting through multiple spins. Always technically dazzling, and decisively old school roar. A Black Curse Comes is unabashedly heavy, B - Marcus Alexander, To the uninitiated, B - John Malone, Order Of The Dead blast through the monotonously mundane with a brutal, but is always undercut with just enough European sounding guitar melody to give the album a constant feeling of contrast and tension. A push and pull between the dulcet and the discordant. It is in this aspect where Order Of The Dead truly shines, D - Jay Cala, squeal, G - Chad Chudyk, V - Bill Lander
