Oona

Oona Garthwaite was born into a musical family and just kept going. She picked up piano from her dad and her sister, guitar while living in Spain, and singing from the mysteries of life. She grew up on a dirt road, landed at UCLA at 17, and quickly reconfigured her musical ambitions from public to private. Moving back to San Francisco after college, she started playing open mics and eventually formed a band. Co-writing projects with producers Dave Tweedie and Stephen Bradley eventually turned into a long-term collaboration, resulting in OONA EPs "Shhhhout!" and "Flying At The Sun". They parted ways in in 2014. "The Marston Tapes" is a 3-song release, Oona's first since 2014. It was recorded at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco to tape by James Riotto. Erin Elskes and Ryder Freed lend their voices.
