About Ocean Leaves
Ocean Leaves are a rag-tag collection of Brisbane rock/folk multi-instrumentalists. After a long retreat into the studio, they released their Winter Heart EP in late 2015. Winter Heart is more complex, moving beyond the charming but simple folk created as a solo effort back in 2013. The first single, Yellowknife, is a lush, spooky ballad about longing and the darkness it can create inside you. While the songs wear their influences (The National, Frightened Rabbit, the Decemberists, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Death Cab For Cutie) – with his band, they become something bigger and deeper.
