Nothing Like You

Forming in 2016 and slamming onto the hard-to-crack Sydney scene, Nothing Like You are a five piece melodic rock band hailing from the southern suburbs of the emerald city.

They launched their first album “Fragments in Time” to a plethora of rave reviews and international radio play across Europe, the US, South America and in their home country of Australia.

Marketing themselves in the underground scene, however, has been hard. Especially in their hometown of Sydney - where nightlife and live music seems to be on the wane. But they are determined to make it.

So determined in fact, that it has landed them connections with some large bands who have toured of late - including Mammal - who’s show in Miranda was sold out and saw them boost their fanbase by nearly a third.

The band members have over 90 years of experience between them, in various different walks of musical life - from fronting cover bands through to playing in international bands and sessioning on multi-platinum albums. They are known for their humble attitudes, and can-do look at the music industry.

Their Debut album “Fragments in Time” has received both local and international airtime in Europe, USA, and South America. Currently, they are looking to book some overseas tours in Europe and Japan, and are currently hard at work on their second album, which promises to be “heavier, bouncier, and altogether more impactful” than their last.

Their latest single "Fear The Sun" has been met with rave reviews, and radio play across the country and internationally in over 25 countries.

Nothing Like You is Singer Matt Blackshaw, Bassist Laith Pritchard, Guitarists David Ellis and Fortunato Spagnolo, and drummer Nathan Lindsell - whose influences range from punk, to funk, to 70’s progressive rock, to 90’s grunge and modern metal.
