About No Wine For Kittens
No Wine For Kittens is an Indie Rock/Pop band from Asbury Park NJ, co-fronted by Emily Whitt and Rick Barry. The band makes heavy use of vocal harmonies, exploiting the natural blend between the singer's voices. Formed initially as a recording project, No Wine For Kittens soon started playing shows in the Asbury Park area, gaining a local following while developing their sound. 2010 saw the release of their self titled 3 song EP. The songs were recorded and produced by Andy Bova (the band's drummer) in his home studio. What came out of those sessions were 3 short, catchy, and melodic songs showcasing the band's Indie pop sound. In 2012 the band released a 6 song E.P. entitled "Not Ready Yet."
