NiQW

Niklas Wiik aka NiQW is a producer/dj raised on the (not so) mean streets of the Helsinki suburbs in Finland. Starting his musical career as a multi-instrumentalist (mainly drummer) and producer for different bands, he was known as this perfectionist cunt who couldn't allow any mistakes by him in the recording studio. But after the tracks were out the quality was celebrated. Alongside adventures with the bands he struck an interest in electronic music and how to produce it after hearing a live set from Deadmau5. This led eventually parting with the band life and concentrating mainly on the electronic side. With encouragement from friends and djs in Finland he eventually forced himself behind the decks. Now his gigging schedule has always something to be announced and he has shared the stages with acts such as Zomboy and Jay Lumen. His producing skills has been approved and supported by talents such as: AC Slater, Low Steppa, Billy Kenny, Wongo, Shiba San, Sinden and many more. His musical style has been described as innovative, playful and bass heavy with a great groove that comes from the drumming days. Almost every track he makes and plays has strong influences of techno and house mixed up with electro, bassline and garage. NiQW has released on numerous respected labels like "This Ain't Bristol", "Audiophile XXL" and "Perfect Driver Music". His musical taste has also been approved by Sharkslayer (the founder of Top Billin & My Techno Weighs A Ton) who named him as the A&R for "My Techno Weighs A Ton" records with him late 2016 and has been stirring the music world ever since with his hand picked tracks for the label. NiQW's style of presenting music in live situations is a perfect blend of harmonic and rhythmic aknoweledgement between tracks with immense drive throughout the set forcing every feet stomping and mouth smiling. The main focus on the sets is creativity and being true to himself as musician. There is always twists and turns that keeps the flow fresh on every dj set.
