Nemcsak Berry

The band 'Nemcsak Berry' was formed on 7th July, 2000 in Budapest. In the beginning we were playing Chuck Berry songs for our own pleasure, later we included songs from other performers as well. Since then we have not been playing Chuck Berry songs only, that's where the name 'Nemcsak Berry' came from.

Nemcsak Berry always performs live, mainly cover songs of foreign bands, but also works on its own songs, hoping to attract the attention of a record company.
We play Chuck Berry, James Brown, Creedence Clearwater Revival Band, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Gary Moore, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top hits among others.
So far we played about 800 shows, at biker meetings organized by Last Nomads MC, Devils MC, Geronimo, Desperado MC, Silver Hawks MC, North Patrol MC, Hard Iron MC, Főnix MC and many other biker clubs, in Budapest clubs, at rock festivals and a lot of other events throughout Hungary. We celebrated our 50th show at the Wigwam Rock Club, the show had been recorded and became our first demo CD.

Our first album was published on 23rd November, 2002, titled 'Rock & Roll Music'. It debuted on the Devils MC biker meeting held at Petofi Hall, Budapest. The CD contains cover songs of foreign artists such as Chuck Berry, Creedence C. R. B., Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, J. Brown and others. The specialty of the album was that we covered an AC/DC and a Motorhead song in country style. There were also two self-made songs on the CD. The album has been published by 'Wild' biker magazine. Our second album came out in December 2004, titled 'Indulj el!' (= Get going!) containing excellent country covers and first class Rock&Roll songs.

'Nemcsak Berry' considers itself a(hopefully worthy) successor of legendary Hungarian rock bands addressing young people with the following message: 'Come to a Rock concert to avoid a Disco-accident!'
