My Anchor Holds

Katie grew up on a farm in central Illinois. Jacob grew up in a suburb of Houston, TX. They both went to Greenville College and became friends through taking classes together, leading worship together, and trying to pretend like there wasn't a mutual attraction. Eventually the truth came out how they felt about one another and since then they've been side by side. They continued their spiritual and musical journey for 6 years in Nashville, TN. In March of 2011, they began writing, recording, and touring as My Anchor Holds. In January 2014, Katie joined the staff at Hope Church in Normal, IL as the Director of Worship. With Bloomington, IL as their home base, Katie and Jacob continue to travel about once a month as My Anchor Holds while serving at Hope Church the rest of their time.
