Mitchell Lawler is an Edmonton Music Award winning rapper, a Bell Media Prize recipient and a HOT 107 HOT Factor competition winner of $10,000. His early efforts have already garnered him over 650,000 YouTube views. Lawler has found himself on platforms co-headlining One Love Music Festival, supporting Iron Mic Music Festival as well as being the sole local act supporting J. Cole in front of 4,000 people. Lawler was invited to play TD Music Green Room at The Juno Awards and has shared stages with the likes of Big Sean, Logic, Tyler The Creator, T-Pain, T.I., Hopsin, Waka Flocka Flame, Machine Gun Kelly, Shaggy and many other major acts. Among other media outlets such as The Edmonton Journal, Metro Edmonton and CityTV, his creations have been featured on Earmilk and HipHopCanada, as well as broadcast on HOT 107 Edmonton, CJSR, NAIT Radio, Cruz 95.7 FM and Mix 103.7 FM. Active in his local community, Lawler supported “Play For Pets” by performing on the HMV Stage to fund raise for the Humane Society as well as the Ronald McDonald House Block Party. Additionally, he was a Jack Daniel’s Supporting Act Finalist for $7,000. As a result of winning the Bell Media Prize, Lawler spent 10 weeks of professional development within Canada’s Music Incubator’s Artist Entrepreneur program in late 2015; in which he wrapped up with a performance at Indie Week. For the second consecutive year at the Edmonton Music Awards, Lawler was nominated for the People’s Choice Award (which he won in 2015) and Rap/Hip Hop Recording of the Year for “Open and Close” with Conch.
