Illinois Hard Rockers MIND DROP have entered Johnny K’s (Disturbed, Staind, Nonpoint) Groovemaster Studio to begin work on a new EP with Producer Matt Dougherty, the second outing with vocalist Shauna Lisse, and a lineup rounded out with Guitarists Adam Deases and Jason Beck, Bassist Chris Ruzic and Drummer Robert Bull. Mind Drop has previously topped the IAC Hard Rock Charts and Cashbox Magazine Charts with their singles "Situations" and "Monster", the latter being nominated for a 2008 IAIA Golden Kayak award. Releasing their debut EP in 2007, and a 2008 full –length follow up, Mind Drop has already cemented their place as seasoned veterans of the Midwest Rock Scene, sharing stages with luminary artists including; FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, OBLIGE, OTEP, ANEW REVOLUTION, EYES SET TO KILL, NINETAIL, EARLY GRAVES, VANILLA ICE, ANOTHER BLACK DAY, EGYPT CENTRAL, REV THEORY, DROWNING POOL, UNDER THE FLOOD, HURT, CAVO, PROSPECT HILL, BOBAFLEX, EYE EMPIRE & more. Despite borrowing tried-and-true elements of classic Hard Rock and Metal, Mind Drop has created their own Hard Rock assault. In 2009, their single "Light It Up" hit the top 10 on both FMQB's and CMJ charts, reaching #6 on both with 38 and 58 adds, respectively. After parting ways with their original vocalist, Mind Drop recruited Shauna Lisse in September of 2011, and entered Groovemaster the following April to record their first single with the new lineup, “The Way I Want It”, touring all Summer to support it.
