About Mike Battle Music

'Like a young Springsteen' - Sony Music PR 'Great Paul Simon cover' - George Ezra (The Gallimaufry, Bristol) Born and raised in South East London, Mike Battle began singing at an early age with a voice reminiscent of Sarah McLachlan. A few years, and a dramatic voice drop later, he is now regularly described as sounding like a younger Ray Lamontagne or Rod Stewart. Mike became set on singing to thousands after sneaking into a James Morrison soundcheck in 2007 where he experienced the band's set as the only other person in the venue. After earning his gigging spurs on the vibrant Bristol music circuit while studying at university there, Mike supported Racing Glaciers, Johnny Lloyd (of Tribes band fame) and Frank Turner collaborator, Jonah Matranga. He has now returned back to the capital to puruse music full time, with a passion to play as many venues as possible in the coming year. Used to sing like Sarah McLachlan, voice broke, now I sound James Bay meets Rod Stewart, apparently.
